Hi I’m Eric, owner of Bonded Lock, Bemidji, Minnesota. This is my blog - a place where I share thoughts on topics that I hear people are thinking about, asking about, and even worrying about. I hope it’s useful to you, and if you like it, please give it a share.
I don’t normally have a Doomsday mindset, but I’ve been thinking this week about demystifying an apocalyptic time. Catastrophic events are not as rare as they used to be. Maybe it’s a natural disaster, maybe it’s a foreign invasion, maybe it’s another pandemic . . . these scenarios are far from fantasy; in fact, they could happen at any time.
One especially plausible incident is an EMP - an Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) is a burst of electromagnetic radiation that can result from a nuclear explosion, a specialized EMP weapon, or even a solar flare. This burst can disrupt or damage electronic devices and systems over a wide area. EMPs pose a significant threat to electronic security systems, including digital safe locks, as they can potentially disable these systems, leaving firearms and valuables unprotected.
If you have prepared even a little bit for a disaster, it may be horrifying to think that the care you’ve taken to secure your fire arms and other valuables may be ineffective in the event of an EMP.
So without losing myself in end-of-the-world thinking, how can I prepare for an EMP? One way is to invest in a lock and security system that won’t be affected.

Securam Safe Locks are a robust solution to the vulnerabilities posed by EMPs. Known for their advanced technology and reliable performance, Securam locks are designed with EMP resistance, ensuring the security of your firearms and valuables even in the event of an electromagnetic pulse attack.

Key Features of Securam Safe Locks for Safes:
Hardened Microcontrollers: These are designed to withstand high-intensity electromagnetic interference, keeping the lock's circuitry operational during and after an EMP event, ensuring that your firearms and valuables remain secure.
Non-Volatile Memory: This ensures that critical data, such as user codes, are retained even when power is lost, maintaining access control over your safe.
Shielding and Protective Measures: Securam locks use shielding materials to absorb and dissipate electromagnetic energy, protecting internal components from EMP damage.
Military-Grade Testing: Securam locks are tested to meet military standards for EMP resistance, ensuring robustness and reliability under extreme conditions.
Advanced Security Features: Including sophisticated encryption and tamper-proof mechanisms, providing an extra layer of protection for your firearms and valuables.
Durability and Reliability: High-quality materials and rigorous testing ensure long-term performance and resilience against both physical tampering and electronic interference.
